Location: Tanzania.
Anhedral granular sample with 3.5 x 2.0 x 1.6cm and clear cleavage surfaces. Orange brown in color and with a vitreous lustre, it presents the typical Schiller or adularescent effect combined with the flicker of metallic specks of thin hematite or goethite lamella inclusions, which is why this variety of Plagioclase was given the name Sunstone.
