Aegirine - Pyroxene Group
Location: Mount Malosa, Zomba, Malawi.
Subeuhedral crystal of Aegirine, prismatic, monoclinic, opaque dark green, vitreous to adamantine lustre with some twinning of smaller crystals. Prisms covered with small white Microcline and Quartz (transparent). Formed in alkaline pegmatite. Sample with 3.3 x 2.0 x 1.5cm.
