 It forms strictly as a secondary mineral in the oxidation zone of copper deposits. Because it is an unusual secondary molybdenum mineral (copper molybdate) and due to the closure of historical operations in the Copper Creek region, Lindgrenite specimens from this specific mine have high scientific and collector value.
